Information about Discharged Soldiers from the Udbina Area

In the last post, we noted information about the new army enrollees.  Here we see where they end their careers.

First, here's the distribution for the years of service at the time that the soldiers are discharged.  There is a lot of variance.  Some serve for only a year while many serve for up to 20 years (and a few for even more than that).  The average is 8.8 years of service (the median is 8 years).

Finally, here's the average age of dischargees at the moment of discharge.

The peak in the early 1850s corresponds to the release of the extra soldiers conscripted to suppress the Hungarian revolution.  As noted in the previous post, they had to draft older soldiers because they simply had to cast a wider net in order to get the man power needed.  This shows up when they then discharge those older soldiers following the end of the conflict in Hungary.
